Further to the recent formation of Nicholas Mee Racing, the team now confirms Anthony Reid as an additional driver.

Anthony has enjoyed a highly successful racing career in a wide range of series including the British, German and Japanese Touring Car Championships, the Japanese GT Championship plus 24-hour endurance events at Le Mans and Daytona, often as a factory team driver. Anthony will be driving for Nicholas Mee Racing in selected races during 2009 season, while also helping to set-up and improve the cars.

Team Principal Nicholas Mee said, "We are delighted to welcome Anthony into the team to partner existing drivers Karsten Le Blanc and Christeian Van Lanschot, and are certain that his proven speed and wealth of experience will be highly beneficial to our racing effort".

In addition to the recent delivery of a factory-built Aston Martin Vantage V8 GT4, NMR has now purchased a second Aston Martin GT4. This car will be delivered shortly and it will be operational in good time for the team’s first race.

Nicholas Mee Racing is currently in the process of confirming exactly where and when it will be competing in '09, however at this stage it intends to participate in various GT championships including the Britcar series, the British GT series, the Aston Martin Owners Club Championship and possibly the FIA GT4 European Championship. The teams first track test session will be held in late February.

NMR's drivers Karsten Le Blanc and Christiean Van Lanschot have extensive experience in historic racing having campaigned the well known ex works Austin Healey 3000 (DD 300) with several outings at the Spa 6 hour, Le Mans Classic and Silverstone Classic events.

The second car will be driven Tarek Mahmoud who has enjoyed success at the wheel of a DB2 and a DB4 GT in similar International historic endurance races and championships since the early 1990s. Tarek will be partnered in certain events by his brother Galal Mahmoud, also an experienced historic racer.

Neal Garrard, Commercial Manager, added, "We are also extremely pleased to confirm that NMR has attracted three, valuable new partners: Classic and Sports Finance, Cardok and ClassicDriver.com. As the season progresses we shall continue seeking partnerships with other organizations which may be interested in partnering the team".
