Bentley Continental GT

A coupé worthy of the GT name. The classic Grand Tourer. A contemporary reinterpretation of everything gone before. Inspired by the grace and power of Bentley’s thoroughbred bloodline, the Continental GT combines phenomenal power, incomparable refinement and class-leading performance. Muscular lines creating understated style, contemporary design with handcraftsmanship in true Crewe tradition. The past accelerating into the future. Power that doesn’t compromise space. Handling that doesn’t compromise comfort. Technology that doesn’t compromise handcraftsmanship. Above all, true Grand Touring performance complemented by the luxury of Bentley legend.

Engine

The result is a shorter and much more compact unit which allows for significantly more interior space and improved dynamics.

But its size is deceptive. Twin turbochargers boost the power output to an astonishing 552bhp (411kW/560PS), however the Continental GT benefits from internal efficiency improvements resulting in a reduction in CO2 emissions and fuel consumption.

Its supercar status is reconfirmed by a top speed of 198mph (318km/h) and a 0-60mph time of just 4.6 seconds (0-100km/h in 4.8 seconds)

A host of engine and transmission enhancements have been introduced on the Continental GT to enhance both the refinement and efficiency of this high technology engine. Including a more efficient catalyst and exhaust system for improved emissions and a new engine management system and faster response cam sensor. The new upright front grille and wider central air intake provides improved airflow to aid engine cooling. All of these enhancements help provide an improved driving experience.

Safety&Security

Self-adjusting air springs and electronic dampers operate independently for each wheel. All-wheel drive promotes advanced traction. And the largest front brakes to be found on any passenger car in the world provide commensurate reassurance at the touch of the pedal.

To increase stability, the Continental GT is fitted with a discreet retractable aerofoil that deploys automatically at speed.

Laminated glazing, GPS tracking, multi-function alarm system featuring immobilisation, exterior and interior sensing, glass break and inclination sensing, all provide additional peace of mind.

Tehnology

The Bluetooth telephone system is the latest technology available to enable users to connect their mobile phone to the onboard telephone system. Bluetooth uses a wireless link between the mobile phone and the vehicle’s onboard telephone system.

A key advantage of this system is that it provides you with greater flexibility as it offers 3 separate ways in which to connect to the system;

· Bluetooth rSAP

This connection creates a secure wireless link with the mobile phone, allowing all details stored on the phone SIM card to be downloaded onto the infotainment system, in addition to allowing you to make and receive telephone calls.

· Bluetooth Hands Free Profile (HFP)

This connection creates a wireless link with the mobile phone, allowing you to make and receive telephone calls using the infotainment system, including the hands free and voice dial functions.

· SIM Card Reader

In addition to the two types of Bluetooth interface, you also have the option of inserting a SIM card into the SIM card reader, which is located in the driver’s armrest.

· Compatible Telephones

A full list of compatible phones for both Bluetooth rSAP and Bluetooth Hands Free Profile (HFP) can be found under the specification pages, however if you have any queries please contact your dealership

The door handles and ignition system on the Continental GT will recognise the signal sent from the integrated key (as long as it is on your person). When next to the door, the door handle will unlock automatically.

Once in the car, the engine can also be started, by pushing the console-mounted start/stop button. Turning the ignition off again is also simple, by pushing the start/stop button. The car can then be locked again by depressing the exterior door handle.
